GDSlyo Taq DNA Polymerase is a Taq DNA Polymerase intended for the preparation of freeze-dried reagents, also known as the lyophilizable version of Taq DNA Polymerase. It is derived from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus and has a molecular weight of 94 kD. Taq DNA Polymerase can amplify DNA target up to 10 kb (simple template). The elongation velocity is 2kb/min (70~75°C). It has 5' to 3' polymerase activity but lacks of 3' to 5' exonuclease activity that results in a 3'-dA overhangs PCR product. This product has been optimized and formulated to meet the specific requirements for lyophilization, allowing for the production of an ideal freeze-dried powder form of Taq DNA Polymerase.
