Product Description

rRNA Depletion Kit (Prevalent Species) is designed for efficient removal of ribosomal RNA (including 5S, 5.8S, 18S, 28S rRNA, 12S, 16S rRNA and 45S rRNA) from total RNA of prevalent species such as human, rat and mouse. The kit employs a workflow of rRNA-specific probe hybridization, RNase H digestion and DNase I digestion, retaining mRNA and other non-coding RNAs (e.g., lncRNA). It is compatible with both intact and partially degraded RNA samples, with an input range of 0.01-1 μg total RNA. The rRNA-depleted product can be used directly for RNA library construction or reverse transcription.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; aliquot into smaller portions after first use if necessary.

 Applications

Removal of rRNA from total RNA of prevalent species including human, rat, mouse, Chinese hamster, rhesus monkey and cynomolgus monkey.

Input total RNA: 0.01-1 μg (for RNA-Seq, ≥100 ng is recommended).
